Got probably the most exciting press email I’ve ever gotten yesterday. Anyone who’s been following our recent posts on these guys knows about our unconditional love for Knife Party. I got to have a taste test of the two unreleased tracks, ‘Destroy Them With Lazers’ and ‘Fire Hive,’ and all I can say is that surpassed any and all high expectations I had already set. Pretty sure these guys have found their niche. Check out the teaser, along with some fun facts and tracks they’ve previously released!

One more thing! Go vote for them on Wobbleland’s FaceBook so they bring them to Nor Cal in the Spring! Last year Wobbleland had Skrillex, Nero, Datsik, and 12th Planet and was probably the most fun dubstep show I have EVER been to. GO! GO!

The dual edged producers we’re growing to love more and more each day have released another track off their forthcoming free-P. This one has that usual grime, but this time it’s coupled with some intergalactic synths that are reminiscent of the masta Mord Fustang. Very epic tune! Fits right in with Knife Party‘s former releases. If you scoped our last post on these fools, you’d know their EP titled 100% No Modern Talking is set to release soon with 4 tracks: ‘Internet Friends’, ‘Tourniquet’, ‘Fire Hive’, and ‘Back To The Z-List’. The anticipation is literally shriveling my small intestine. That’s normal, right?

While we’re on the topic of Porter Robinson remixes, this may be something to look forward to! In a frenzy of new sounds and subgenres surfacing on the blogosphere, Knife Party seems to be holding their own. Porter’s already known for his grimy, hard hitting tracks, and yet Knife Party manages to take it a step further. If you look past the fact that you may get a seizure while listening to this song, it’s pretty god damn awesome. This moombahton/hardcore/dubstep (aka moombahcore) sound is packed with energy. I love it! I picture the whole crowd having no choice but to get mental and jump around nasty to this live. Definitely need to see Knife Party in the near future.

Bonus Party!

I’m always stoked to see djs take their talents to new places within their production, not to mention within a set itself. It’s no secret that Pendulum is one of the biggest groups in EDM today, with a live show that has no comparison. I honestly am not the biggest fan of their type of Drum n Bass/Anthemic Rock, but I intensely respect the fact that they’ve created their own signature sound in a sea of conformation. That being said, I give you Rob Swire (frontman) and Gareth McGrillen (bassist/DJ) of Pendulum’s new side project: Knife Party.

Awesome mix of Electro dropped into Moombahcore (didja hear that Skrillex/KP moombah track?!?! hit the soundcloud page for tracklisting) then into smashing dubstep. They had their first show at Ibiza a few days ago, and expect big releases soon from these guys. No announcements yet, so stay up on their twitter for more info.

This Swedish House Mafia remix is just nuts, totally saved the song for me. Grab it and rage.

As certain DJs and producers continue to grow, the next logical step is to put together a unique live set. A performance that takes their shows to another level. Something special. Different. With everything that’s being done nowadays, what direction is there to go? Some DJs are incorporating a 3D aspect to the visuals of their performances. The show is already technically in 3D, because it is real life. You with me? In my opinion, this can go only so many ways. You know how some movies are coming out in 3D that really don’t need to be? Some things are just fine in 2D, and I was about to find out if this played out to be true at a concert.
