I’m trying to think of a better way to wake up than catching TEED’s first remix of the year…Maybe if the Twelves put out their album? Or Coachella released the damned lineup? Well let’s not let my dreams get the best of us. With this release TEED goes back to a deeper vibe that he tends to frequent on remixes. It slowly builds up with Foals’ dream-like vocals and drops into a funky frenzy of hi-hats and bass. I have to thank TEED for guiding my smooth transition into deep house, because now I can’t get enough! This stuff is the future, people.

Orlando Higginbottom (haha yeah I know) AKA Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is leading a stampeded of bass driven dance music through the U.S. and Australia. The dino beat whiz kid finds himself in Hollywood tonight! Orlando has been making tsunami sized wave through the electronic music scene that has yet to lay out the minds and souls of the masses. BBC voted his album Trouble (our review) as the 5th best of the year and iTunes gave him New Electronic Artist of the year! The guy couldn’t be more deserving of these awards and the future looks even brighter.

His live shows are unparalleled as far as what you want and what you get. He sings. He’s dressed up. He’s got dino dancer cuties. And tonight he’s bringing his full live production to make it that much more visually appealing. We last caught him at the Echoplex, one of LA’s smaller venues, and the place was a sweaty mess of dancing friends that became family. If you want a guaranteed good time, come out and hang tonight. I know there’s been a lot of TEED posts up here lately, but what? Am I not supposed to post this? Nay. Orlando’s put together the mix of his life for Radio 1, and I intended on getting it to you in the best quality I could find. He even talks about how he’s been secretly waiting for this. It’s kinda cute. Who wouldn’t be pumped on this? The world’s premier mixing opportunity to show them what you got. Well, what he’s got is an especially deep house mix. HARD Summer being over has finally given me time to focus my energy on this Thursday, where Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs will be playing at the Echo in LA to a sold out crowd. With this guy’s slow but steady rise to his well deserved fame comes an EP for the song that made me fall in love: Household Goods. This was the only song of its kind on his new album, which definitely adds to it being a standout track. Zeds Dead took the liberty of slowing it down, but maintaining the beauty that lies within. Sit back. Light up. Relax. Enjoy.

Household Goods EP will be released August 20th with remixes from Zeds Dead, Zinc, Li’l Silva, Enei and Mano Le Tough.

Now here’s an artist that always gets me the weirdest look when I try to share him with a friend. “‘Totally Dino’ what?” It’s worth spreading, though, to everyone who’s willing to listen. He’s got a style that you won’t find anywhere else; a bass line crafted special for every song. Born Orlando Higginbottom, but otherwise known by his stage name as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (T.E.E.D.) His debut album Trouble is finally out today! I hate being teased. Especially when I won’t see the fruits of the teasing for an extended period of time. TEED’s new single isn’t going to come out for two months. Which, in music time, is forever…What the hell! ‘Tapes & Money’ isn’t supposed to come out until April, and the album will follow in May. This track is yet another masterpiece from our prehistoric friend. He’s so good at being super ravy and distorted while still maintaining a feel-good sound overall. Definitely one of the most consistent producers right now.

Speaking of consistent producers, Dillon Francis is doing some teasing of his own. His is a little bit more short-ended, as his EP ‘Something, Something, Awesome’ is out in 10 days. I heard him drop all of these songs the last couple times I saw him. Shit goes hard. Majority Nu Jump Up, as he dubs it, and just the spiciest moombahton track at the end. He guarantees you getting laid if you buy it and it conveniently comes out on Valentine’s Day. GO:
