Symbiosis Gathering | Lineup | Tickets

After last year’s incredible experience, we’ve been hard pressed to find anything else quite like Symbiosis Gathering. It is perhaps the most relaxing and open culture we’ve ever been a part of. Lend it to the playa decompression vibes or end of summer last hoo-rah or what have you; it will always hold a special place in our hearts. And with 2016 being the last time it’s being hosted at the Woodward Reservoir (please let there be an ample swimming hole at the next venue!), there’s little in the way of deciding whether to go or not. That is to say, DO NOT MISS IT.

Today, Alex Ridha aka BOYS NOIZE announces a 15-date North-American tour. The trek starts on October 5th on the West Coast in Los Angeles and will go via Vancouver and Seattle to playing two nights in New York, followed by Miami, Boston, Suwannee Hulaween in Florida and ends with Austin’s Sound on Sound (ex-Fun Fun Fun Fest). The tickets are available Thursday, August 11th href=”http://www.boysnoize.com/#!tour/ofgvv”>HERE.

This tour comes Hot off the heels of Alex’s most recent album release, Mayday. Mayday is Boys Noize´s most dynamic album to date. Collaborations with Poliça, Hudson Mohawke, Benga, Remy Banks, Spank Rock, and some special secret guests broaden the range while maintaining the classic rugged-n-raw BOYS NOIZE style. You can check out our review of MAYDAY href=”http://www.controlaltdelight.com/?s=boys+noize”>here. **Spoiler Alert** We fucking loved it!

We are really excited for this tour as Alex is one of our favorites DJ’s in the electronic landscape today. His live shows surely will not be ones to miss as Boys Noize stage production and visuals are always top notch. SUS BOY and LIL INTERNET provide to aesthetics exploring a thematic narrative inspired by cyberpunk, 80’s industrial and surveillance in contemporary society.

Event InfoTickets

UR Art is the brainchild of Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation), Philipp Jung (M.A.N.D.Y), and John Wander. The Santa Monica based Summer festival series is now in its third year and continues to draw attention to its message of sustainable power, artistic freedom, and community wellness. On top of that, the series features leading musicians from the deeper spectrum of house and techno under the open air of a beach city sun.

All of this is hosted inside Bergamot Station, a re-purposed train station now art center. This Sunday (July 3rd) will feature John Tejada, Hoj, Clint Stewart, and WXC (John Wander b2b Luke Cheadle). Come through to celebrate freedom, art, music, and social purpose.

Terrence Parker – Alarm the Sound (John Tejada Remix)

Treasure Island Music FestivalTickets

Treasure Island 2016 is happening! For its 10-year anniversary, this lovely island festival was almost a no-go. Luckily, the city and event planners were able to make it happen. We can’t reiterate enough how great this compact festival is. 2 stages. 1 silent disco. No set-time over lap. Smaller crowds. A whole lot of sea breeze to cap off the indian Summer. The lineup this year is as exceptional as always; featuring artists from all across the spectrum.

Of all the festivals we’ve been to, this one is definitely among the easiest to survive and relaxing to be a part of. Tickets are still on sale! Do NOT miss your chance to go to this festival its last time on the actual island.

Woogie Weekend | Lineup | Tickets

Now in its second year as a standalone festival, Woogie Weekend continues to gather artists that could hold their own on parent festival LIB‘s lineup. The event is even hosted at LIB’s former home: Oak Canyon Park, Silverado Canyon. Anyone who’s stopped by the Woogie stage at LIB knows the sound and the vibe: funky and carefree during the day; deep and dark at night. And this year’s lineup is definitely influenced by a playa touch. Luckily, there’s water all around to help manage that hot summer sun (or an unpredictable muddy cuddle puddle a la 2015).

The event runs July 8-10, 2016 with 2-day and Sunday tickets available, so there’s really no reason not to check out at least Sunday (Rampue, Rodriguez Jr., Kidnap Kid, and TEED are among our must sees of the weekend). With a lineup this good at a $160 all weekend ticket price, this is perhaps the most “worth it” festival bill we’ve seen this year.

Splash House | Tickets | Room Packages

Splash House is back again with an amazing line-up spanning two weekends! The madness all goes down in Palm Springs at the Saguaro and the Riviera. Have no fear, the festival provides shuttles to take you to and from each of the venues and it’s a great way to get around and meet new people!

The first weekend happens June 10-12 and you can find tickets here.

The second weekend takes place August 12-14 and you can find tickets here.

Splash House is not to be missed. With a line-up like this and tickets half the price of most other festivals run don’t walk…except around the pool.

Further Future | Lineup | Tickets

Last year, the famed Robot Heart crew decided it was time to host their own desert oasis outside of Black Rock. And thus, Further Future was born. A forward-facing experience in music, performance, food, arts, community, and inspiration, this particular “renegade” festival has already set itself up to be a staple for progress-aficionados. Unmistakably calling on its Burner roots, Further Future stands as a shorter and less demanding introduction to the future of festival culture.
