Hello friends! It’s been a minute — I’m finally feeling somewhat settled out here in Barcelona and starting to think I may never return to the US. Beautiful women, amazing architecture, siestas, and an overflow of opportunities to see great electronic music. If they had animal fries out here that’d seal the deal. Here’s the full version of Kaskade’s “Turn It Down,” the track we heard a preview of yesterday. This one’s a lot harder than what I’ve come to expect from him, will definitely end up in the House Banger category. Don’t listen to the song’s title and start your Saturday night right.

Tiesto is letting summer go with a bang. Epic and massive. That’s not a complete sentence but they’re the only words needed to describe ‘Maximal Crazy.’

Ok but real talk… We can all agree the track is sick as fuck but this isn’t Tiesto’s Style. I feel like every producer in the scene is conforming to this high energy/fist pumping approach to house. It’s so frustrating. FUCK I hate to admit it, but this shit is mainstream.
Don’t expect much more of this kinda stuff from me.

A 128kbps preview of Justice’s much anticipated new album ‘Audio, Video, Disco.’ I first heard this at Hard Summer and wasn’t sure how to feel. I like it, but I want more of that infamous french distortion. This is a completely new style for Justice but to be honest, I’m not worried; this album is gonna be a generational icon. A,V,D is the follow up to ‘Cross’ and will be released October 25th. Counting the days.

I think Pretty Lights Music has surpassed Fool’s Gold as my (electronic/dance) Record Label of choice. Their roster already boasts the likes of Break Science, Gramatik and Paper Diamond. They just just improved today by adding more fresh talent fusing the electro hip-hop sound we’ve come to know and love through Paul Basic and SuperVision. Below are the two tracks that were released for free via the PLM website. SuperVision’s EP, Telescopic, will be released on 9/27 and Paul Basic’s EP, The Mirror, comes out 9/20. Stay tuned!
