jack beats

The w0bblin’ Jack Beats are back sending their love from the UK in the form of a new original track. Their last release, a remix of Beyonce’s ‘Countdown,’ left me pretty disappointed, which I’m not accustomed to dealing with when it comes to them. This track thumps though, with a little rougher sound than their usual wob. They’ll be supporting Fatboy Slim for a few days in the UK in December so keep an eye out for that if you’re on that side of the pond. The End of Love EP drops December 5th with some added remix action.

The boys in green are back, and just like the above picture, this song is leaking with that grime and wob we’d expect from Jack Beats. Fresh off their HARD Summer exposé and despite being on tour, they’re still providing choons. Most likely it’s all in support of their album that was promised to come out by the end of the year. Anyhow, the track slaps. Pretty low key compared to what we usually get, but it carries the dirty vibes of any Jack Beats remix. Probably would love it more if I had a more extensive sound system than my laptop speakers. This will just have to do for now.

I got the Jack Beats B-Side to “All Night” for you guys. With a name like “Elevator Music,” one can only dream of the possibilities of climbing buildings to jams like this. Although it’s not my favorite, they go just as slimy as usual. Full of bass and just the right amount of that Jack Beats wobble they’re always able to provide. I was scoping their FaceBook the other day, and they had a little bit to say on their upcoming album. Ah. 2011 is just going to get better and better and better:

This album of ours is starting to really take shape… it’s exciting! No release dates yet… it’s gonna take another few months to finish up proper- we wanna make it right rather than rushing it! it will be out later in the year at the earliest… we’ll have new material out before then though, and we’re gonna start remixing again very soon too… lots of new music coming!

The CoachellAltDelight series will put focus on the low key Coachella
artists that we at C+A+D feel like you should know about.
Less than a week til we’re all together!

Ok so these guys may not be as “low key” as the other artists we’ll be bringing up, but I just don’t want anyone to take a chance of missing ’em. And besides their name is WAY smaller on the flyer than they deserve. Jack Beats are turn table extraordinaires. They produce, remix, and DJ with an unmatched wobbly style that’s consistently filled with grimy bass. Jack Beats is formed of members of two separate turntable crews in the UK: Plus One from the Scratch Perverts and Beni G from the Mixologists. Together they throw down some of the nastiest sets I could ask for, and I’m saying this from first-hand experience. I’ve seen them twice and that’s not gonna stop me from being front and center for this. Their turntable experience is very apparent through their mixes, and I’m hoping they’ll bring out some unexpected tricks with their liveset at Coachella. They’ve got an album that’s set to release this year, so be ready for a lot of new tracks in Indio on Sunday!

It wasn’t until last week when the true greatness of this track made its way through my sub woofer. Jack Beats signature wobble and general domination in the remix scene has always kept them at the top of my list. The best remixes are the ones that showcase the remixers sound while maintaining the original songs vibe. Jack Beats continues to do just that with all of their remixes. The song starts off with the hopeful vocals we’ve all learned to love so much and drops into the depths of the grimiest of bass and wobbles that Jack Beats never leaves us without. Truly looking forward to seeing them again at TAO.

Let the bass of these songs ripple your review mirrors..drive safe!

Throughout the last couple months a new electro genre has been sweeping the nation. Relatively eccentric, this scene is leaving Beiber fans clenching for their sensitive ears. Unfortunately, this music has a strong following of love it or hate it; there’s an elephant in the room.

Now some of you may know this filthy elephant, he goes by the name dubstep. For you guys that aren’t familiar, dubstep is notorious for fat buildups and nuclear waves of bass and wobble. Personally, I hated dubstep. I would think to myself, “How the fuck can anyone listen to the wall of noise?” Slowly things changed, it grew on me.

Dubstep continues to explode, appearing on all sorts of festival lineups. Hard, for example, is getting down and dirty this Halloween with a couple big name dubstep producers, Rusko and Jackbeats.

Love it, Hate it, or never even heard of it, here’s an assortment of some sick shit. Give it a chance; it’ll grow on you.

Waiting, oh so patiently, finally paid out. Mr. Jack Beats has done it again. He’s borrowed Big Boi’s “Shutterbug” and given it that magic flavor. A full post on Jack Beats is to come; in the meantime, enjoy the beats.
