So LIZ dropped her debut EP Just Like You through Diplo’s Mad Decent label last week. The Y2K stylized R&B bubblegum princess gives us 7 free songs on the EP – 5 of which had not been previously released. With production duties being handled by artists like Mr. Carmack, Djemba Djemba, Colta, and Lido, among others, the EP tackles a slew of different genres including UK Garage, Baltimore Club, and Pop; yet, most importantly centers itself around a chill R&B vibe. I’m a sucker for female vocals and LIZ delivers.

Mad Decent’s 3rd annual Block Party in Los Angeles was a perfect way to cap off the summer. The micro-festival, complete with dodgeball, beer gardens, and a multi-genre lineup, set the stage for utter shenanigans. Throughout the day, the eclectic Mad Decent roster jumped between artists with no real connection or objective other than to have fun.

More after the jump.
