I’m just about done with the first leg of my Central and South American tour…Costa Rica is something of a utopia. Depending on how you look at it of course. It doesn’t have an army. Humans and animals coexist in this green world surrounded by an ocean on either side. You can’t walk ten feet without someone saying their national slogan: Pura Vida. A pure life. A good life. The happiness here is infectious. Not to mention how beautiful everything was. Damn. Off to PerĂº on Monday, so I’ll be back in touch next Sunday. Hopefully I can get a post off during the week. Big ups to the C+A+D team for holding it down while I’m gone. Enjoy #111:

Happy Sunday friends! I’m stationed in Costa Rica at the moment, getting ready to embark on the actual adventure I came here for. A quest through the tropics. Hiking. Ziplining. Swimming in Lake Arenal that mirrors the live volcano there. Just so happy that I was able to be patient enough my whole life to finally make it to such an adventure. I’m going to try my best to get these up every Sunday as usual. But bear with me. I go to Peru/Machu Picchu on the 2nd, and then Buenos Aires, Argentina on the 17th. Hoping I’ll be able to search for more music while abroad. Either way, I got the first one for you. Enjoy #110:

Last week was one of those where I got a bunch of new albums. It’s usually tacks on tracks on tracks from DJs and producers. I like to keep my mind open and listen to a bunch of different music. Kind of like I’m exercising it. You don’t work out just one muscle, right? I mean I guess you could…Anyway, my minds definitely feeling refreshed after all this. Lots of really good stuff here! For everyone. Keepers all around. Enjoy #109:

The last day of Outside Lands is almost underway! Can’t say I’m going to miss the cramped hotel room we stuffed in, but it’s always tough to leave SF. With that I bring you my 108th weekly playlist. I told my yoga-teacher-cousin how I’ve been doing this, and he explained to me the significance of the number 108. It’s a very sacred number in Hinduism and Budhism. It’s supposed to represent the ultimate reality of the universe simultaneously being one (1), nothing (0), and everything (8, infinite). Pretty cool! I love that kinda stuff. The most interesting thing I found out about it (and you can look this up): the distance from the Earth to the Sun divided by the Sun’s diameter is approximately 108. Same with the moon… He just stressed how great it was that I’ve stayed consisted for this long and how now these lists are now a part of me. I feel it! Enjoy #108:

Sorry I have been lagging on getting this up. Been in full recovery-mode after HARD Summer. Now preparation-mode for T.E.E.D. this Thursday and OSL this weekend. Things are getting crazy! But that’s how I like it. Better than being bored out of my mind with no plans in the near future. I feel like that goes without saying though. Enjoy #107:

Happy Sunday Friends! It’s been a busy past couple of weeks for us here at C+A+D. And I mean that in the best way possible! Because of the lack of stuff to do lately, I’ve taken it into my own hands to work everyday and go to shows every night. Our photographer Phil and I have covered events for Mumbai Science, Paul Chambers, Kill the Noise, Zeds Dead, and Emalkay in the past two weeks, and we don’t plan on stopping there. Tonight it continues at Drai’s for Sinden and Baauer! 21+ RSVP for free before 11 by clicking here and emailing sundays@dimmak.com, or you can buy tickets to be safe. Should be a nice change of pace, especially considering how big trap music is getting as of late. Keep in touch! HARD SUMMER IS NEXT WEEK :D !! Enjoy #106:

I sit before you today with a new rendition of the former YOLO list. After Drake used the phrase in his song, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a good thing or a bad thing. This was mainly because I had been using it for over a year, and I was still set on sending a message with it. Turns out it was definitely a bad thing, and the name now has such a stigma to it.

The idea of building up your life to have a good retirement has always bugged me. How do I know I’m not going to get hit by a car on my way home today? Or how do I know I won’t get sick and fail to get better? It seems cynical, but the point is everyday of your life counts, and everyone should focus on making their dreams a reality. I still want to send the same message to everyone with these lists, in hopes that people make the most out of every second of their life. All the while, opening their minds and ears to new or old styles of music. There is so much out there to find out about, and we can use it to optimize our lives. After all, music is the universal key to happiness. That being said, enjoy #105:
