HEY! Getting caught up on this a day late, because I’m just coming out of my coma from HARD LA…or at least I think I am? Was able to round up 40 of the homies to take with us, and it was worth everything that went into it! My only qualm with the night was Oliver‘s set. I don’t know if it was just me or what, but it should have been way louder for their slot. You can’t f*ck around with low volumes for disco sets. Need to feel every bit of that bass. PHILM and I went up front for A-Trak, and the bass was nearly overwhelming. As it should be! Whatever. Jack Beats new set was awesome. Fresh. Clean. A-Trak, I mean, just look at that picture! Imagine it inside the Wiltern. Ah. Another night for the books. Enjoy #89, yo!

Hey guys! Sorry this one is coming in late. I was stuck on UStream watching Louis La Roche and AMTRAC throw down a really, really, ridiculously funky set. “Stuck” actually isn’t a good word for that. HEY! Pretty interesting week behind and ahead of me. I deactivated my FaceBook and made a new one just to post stuff for C+A+D, and I feel like a new man! It’s crazy how much time is wasted on FaceBook…damn. Well yeah, I did it so I could focus my energy on passing one of my classes. It’s finals week. Happy days! Don’t want to run on too long here, just wanted to say how awesome the free Starfucker / Nosaj Thing show was at USC. So cool. It was set up at a park inside their campus, and just…ugh. Those lucky bastards! UCI needs some shit like that. I caught another drumstick! I think that puts me in the double digits of drum sticks I’ve gotten. I gave it away though. I already have a drumstick from their past SoCal shows haha. Oh yeah! My birthday is tomorrow. What to do….what to do. For now, I’ll leave you with this quote:

Good evening fellow music seekers. Had another all around good week, especially in regards to the new music I picked up. I just gotta say how happy I am that Deadmau5 put out another super epic track and it’s better than anything I could ask for…IMO! Also FINALLY got to see Knife Party last night (and Kill the Noise Post-KillKillKill EP). They both were SO FUN! It was a hard show to be relatively sober for, because everyone from beginning to end played high energy sets that got the crowd very involved in. The security guards couldn’t handle us. G’damn. I love that shit. But at the end I was so dead and sweaty I made the guy from Bedazzled look dry. Here’s a video of a new song Knife Party made just for LA >:] Enjoy #83!

Happy Sunday friends. I’ve been waiting for this list so I could attempt to put into words how huge the last two nights were. We were fortunate enough to catch our friends Young the Giant in the cusp of the most epic tour of their lives. Sold out show after sold out show all over the country. Awesome to see the response from the crowd. Very happy for them! We were able to take pictures and snag an interview, so stay posted on those.

And last night…I just……I don’t even…….I’m at a loss for words. A-Trak, Diplo and Skrillex hosted a pre-Grammy party and “monumental” doesn’t even cut it as a description. Haven’t felt that sort of energy from a crowd in too long. I’m just happy to have been a part of it all. I got some videos I’ll load up ASAP.
