Private Label is back with another season. With school starting soon, there’s no better way to spend a Friday than by decompressing with some music and good vibes. Yeasayer, Star Slinger, and Mystery Skulls will be taking to the stage. Its an eclectic mix that will make this a fine night for music lovers.
HOW TO GET ON THE LIST
After last week’s free guestlist being crazy and not many tickets being sold, we have to restrict for this week. The list is GIRLS ONLY unless you’re a guy that confirms five or more girls. Sorry…some of us have to put bacon on the table. That’s how the saying goes right? Anyway, like this post and Control+Alt+Delight on Facebook, and e-mail names to ali[at]controlaltdelight[dot]com . The guestlist is good all night but I’d recommend getting their around 11 to guarantee entry. Check the tunes after the jump!
Generally known for indie-pop music, Brooklyn’s Yeasayer was not expected to ever appear on a Private Label bill. However, this is a DJ set performed by lead singer Chris Keating, and we’re interested to see what kind of music fuels his and the teams’ party needs. Should be a hoot!
Star Slinger is well known for his flawless traditional house skills. He’s got plenty of knowledge of song structure in almost any other genre too. Most often, there are tinges of hip-hop found in his music. There’s flavor for everyone to get down to.
We had the opportunity to catch Mystery Skulls when we saw London Grammar. He brings a unique flair to electro house that exudes copious amounts of party energy. We saw him perform a DJ set and it was quite an exhibit. This live show should be interesting (we’re pretty sure there will be live vocals – we love live vocals).
