Recent EP ‘Wolfie/Funeral’ pushes his paces even further into a realm of deep bass. Control LA at Avalon is bringing him in at the end of the month alongside the trap and bass styles of Hoodboi and Alizzz for a night of heavy sound. Don’t miss out.

Sango | Monte Booker

Soulection has always been very much welcomed in the Bay Area, and thanks to DJ Dials for booking their crew consistently, their fan base has grown considerably. Last time Sango was in town, he tore apart 1015 Folsom, but over the weekend he upgraded to the beautiful Regency Ballroom for a packed house.

Dials notoriously opens his own shows (I would too), and he can set the tone for any booking he sets. Right from the get go, the vibe was right and everyone was ready for the smooth trimmings of Monte Booker. I had seen this guy’s name around, but this was the first time I got to listen to his music. His set was filled with sultry beats and four on the floor tempos that perfectly complemented what was about to come.

Sango is a legend. As one of the back bones of the Soulection crew, you can always expect for him to bring the heat and keep it unique. His Brazilian and Latin inspired beats always get me going. Everyone was hype from top to bottom, and the night was capped in a way only one of Soulection’s founding fathers could do.

Envision Festival | Lineup | Tickets

While most of the U.S. is trudging through a cold winter filled with rain, wind, and snow, Costa Rica continues to thrive in the warm, tropical climates of its eternal summer. Touted as one of the leading transformational festivals in the world, Envision is returning to the beaches of Uvita for its 7th annual celebration of music, art and sacred movement. Envision has certainly grown over the years, yet through careful curation and leadership it maintains the feeling of intimacy and mindfulness that have made the festival what it is today.
